The staff at Waddle are a happy bunch, spending our days together in a little house on a quiet street in Chippendale, Sydney. We’re a tech company as much as we’re a lender and on any given day you’ll find our growing team of engineers constantly tweaking and improving the Waddle platform and our credit team helping our clients to manage their cash flow. We just love to hear the growth stories made possible through our funding.


The Waddle story

Waddle’s founders Simon Creighton and Nathan Andrews have known each other since high school. Their interest in technology began then – Nathan was a coder and Simon more interested in infrastructure. Fast-forward 15 or so years and Simon found himself in the world of working capital finance.

He realised that there was something wrong with the overly manual way invoice finance facilities were managed and believed there was a better way. So he called on the best developer he knew, his old school friend Nathan. In 2014, they began working together. Initially, they kept their day jobs and started Waddle as a hobby.

Things began to get real when Nathan and Simon won their first client in mid-2015. Waddle now has a customer base numbering in the hundreds, $330m of loans to date and a growing staff of over 20.
